Be kind to the relatives: Surah Nisa Ayat No: 1 It is encouraged: We should be kind and good conduct with our relatives. Kindness has much important and promised for rewards in abundance. It benefits in this life also like increasing the age and growth in provision etc. and great reward in Hereafter.
