Hadith of the Day

Jabir ibne-'Abdullah Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates that Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: Do not acquire knowledge of Deen for showing superiority over 'Ulama and do not use this knowledge to quarrel with the ignorant and do not use this knowledge to hold assemblies. He who has done like this (for him) there is Fire, and Fire. (Ibne Majah: 254)   Note: Acquiring knowledge of Deen is not to be used for diverting the attention of people towards one's self.
