July - 07 (Quran)

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says (Translation): Verily! We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (saying): Warn your people before a painful punishment comes to them. He said: O my people! Verily! I am a plain Warner to you. (Bidding you that you) Serve Allah and keep your duty to Him and obey me; That He may forgive you some of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. (By the blessing of Iman and piety you will be saved of torment but not death). Indeed! The term of Allah, when it comes, cannot be delayed, if you but knew. (For a long time his people paid no heed to his advice) He said: My Rabb! Verily! I have invited my people night and day, But all my invitation did not but add to their repugnance; And indeed! Whenever, I invited them, so that You may pardon them, they thrust their fingers in their ears and covered themselves with their garments (so that they may not see me), and persisted (in their refusal) and magnified themselves in pride. And indeed! I have invited them aloud; And I have made public proclamation to them, and I have appealed to them in private (spared no way to guide them). and I have said: Seek pardon of Your Rabb! He (indeed) is Ever- Forgiving. He will open up the sky for you with plentiful rain, And will increase you in wealth and sons, and will give you gardens and will give you streams. What is wrong with you that you do not take heed of the greatness of Allah Whereas He created you in (diverse) stages? See you not how Allah has created the seven heavens in harmony, And has made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? And Allah has caused you to grow as a growth from the earth, And afterwards He makes you return to it, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forth-bringing. And Allah has made the earth a wide expanse for you, So that you might walk thereon on spacious paths. (An-Nuh 71: 1-20)

The Message of Qur’an (Part - 188)

The temptation's of this world are very petty: Surah Qasas Ayat No: 60 Allah Almighty says: Moreover, whatever of anything you are given is (no more than) an enjoyment of the worldly life and its decoration, and that which lies with Allah is much better and far more lasting. So do you not use reason?

The Message of Qur’an (Part - 187)

The responsibility of the believer is to show the right path: Surah Naml Ayat No: 91, 92 Allah Almighty says: I am but ordered to worship the Lord of this city, which is sanctified by Him. And to Him belongs everything, and I am ordered to be one of the Muslims (who submit themselves to Allah), and to recite the Qur'an; so, whoever takes the right path, takes it for his own benefit. As for the one who goes astray, say (to him), "I am only one of the warners.

July - 05 (Quran)

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says: And he who (amongst the people of Fir'aun) believed said: O my people! Follow me. I will guide you to the way of right conduct. O my people! Surely, the life of this world is nothing but a (passing) enjoyment, but the life to come is an everlasting mansion. Whoever does evil shall be repaired the like thereof: and whoever does righteous deeds, whether male or female, and is a believer, will enter Paradise; where they will be provided therein without limit. And O my people! How is it that I invite you to salvation, while you invite me to the Fire? You invite me to disbelieve in Allah, and to join partners with Him, of which I have no knowledge; and I invite to the Almighty, Oft-Forgiving. No doubt you call me to one who cannot grant me my requests in this world, or in the Hereafter. And our return will be to Allah, and indeed the transgressors (of Allah's set limits) will be the dwellers of the Fire. And you will remember, what I say to you; and I leave my affair to Allah. Verily! Allah is the most Observant of (His) slaves. So Allah saved him from the evils, that they plotted, (against him) while an evil torment encompassed Fir'aun's folk. (Ghafir 40: 38-45)

Hadith of the Day
Hadith: Abu Dhar Radiyallahu 'anhu narrates that Rasulullah ﷺ told us: When one of you become angry while standing, he should sit down. If his anger subsides, well and good; otherwise he should lie-down. (Abu Dawud: 4782)

Note: The Hadith implies that changing a posture which gives greater peace of mind should be adopted, so that the harm of anger is minimised. The possibility of harm becomes less while sitting than in a standing position, and even less while lying. (Mazahir-e-Haque)

Sight of the Day of Judgement: Surah Naml Ayat No: 87, 88 Allah Almighty says: And (remember) the day when the Horn will be blown; so, all those in the heavens and the earth will be in panic, except those whom Allah wills. And All (of them) will come to Him in humility. And you see the mountains (at present) supposing them as fixed (forever), while (on that Day) they will fly like the flight of clouds - an act of Allah who has perfected everything. Surely, He is All-Aware of what you do.

The Message of Qur’an (Part - 184)

Allah's help is near when you stand for the right: Surah Shua'ra Ayat No: 52 To 67 Allah Almighty gave the glad tidings: There is a comfort after every hardship. When the followers of prophet Musa ('Alaihissalam) observed patient on the operations of Pharaoh and uphold the belief steadily, Allah Almighty blessed them with many rewards: making ways to cross the river, drowning their enemy Pharaoh in the same river and making them inherit the kingdom. When the mankind bears the hardship for the region of Islam and act on its teachings and injunctions, Allah makes his inherit His earth. Therefore, they should not be upset by the difficulties in Allah's cause and expect His help all the times.

The Message of Qur’an (Part - 183)

Signs of the special people of Allah: Surah Furqan Ayat No: 63 To 69 Allah Almighty describes about His servants: The servants of the Rahman (the All-Merciful, Allah) are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the ignorant people speak to them, they reply peacefully, and those who pass the night prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord, and those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Jahannam (the Hell); indeed, its punishment is a persisting affliction." Indeed, it is evil as an abode and a place to dwell in - and those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly, and it (i.e. their spending) is moderate in between (the two extremes,) and those who do not invoke any other god along with Allah, and do not kill a person whom Allah has given sanctity, except rightfully, nor do they fornicate; and whoever does it, shall face the recompense of his sin, the punishment will be doubled for him, and he will remain there disdained, forever.

Hadith of the Day
Hadith: Jabir ibne-'Abdullah Radiyallahu 'anhuma narrates: I heard Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam saying: The best Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is La ilaha illallah, and the best Du'a (supplication) is Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah). (Tirmidhi: 3383)

Note: This Kalimah is the basis of the entire Deen. Without the belief in Kalimah, neither Iman (faith) nor Aa'mal (deeds) are acceptable. Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) is said to be the best Du'a because praising Allah, Who is the Most Generous, amounts to asking Him for His help or favours. (Mazahir Haque)
